Faihopity Farms is truly a family farm. We have supported the Specter /Casey bill 1640 ,as a solution,to our dairy farmers problems.
However, for the time being, we need a lot more money in our milk check. We strongly encourage everyone to support Pro- AG and others efforts to get a $20 hundred weight floor price immediately . Prices are predicted to go down to $15.50 per hundred weight or lower. Dairy farmers cannot survive on these prices. We need action now, not later.

The Kuzma Farm in Vernon, Wyoming County strongly supports Pro Ag’s proposal to have U.S. congress implement a $20 per HDW floor price under milk used to manufacture dairy products. This is the only way dairy farmers will be able to get a fair price for their milk. We also support the need of milk hearings to be held around the country. The long-term solution to our problem can be rectified by implementing the Spector/Casey bill S1640. We also support the need of a base excess plan that is also contained in S1640. It is interesting that our Pro Ag manager, Arden Tewksbury, brought up the question about different manufacturers using milk protein and whey protein concentrate. Are these products responsible for some of the over production of milk in the United States? In addition, Mr. Tewksbury’s testimony seems to cover many items that no one else mentioned, like whole milk in schools and “fake milk products”. I am urging everyone to get behind the main thing which is a $20 floor price! Also, everyone needs to get behind Marino and Thompson to get whole milk back in schools. We not need to act today or tomorrow, WE NEED TO ACT NOW!

Arden Tewksbury's bill, the Federal Milk Marketing Improvement Act, is the answer to paying dairy farmers based on the national average cost of producing milk, as determined by the Economic Research Service, a division of the USDA. Sounds good to me.
